Australia is failing to meet its basic human rights obligations, report finds

Australia: The Human Rights Measurement Initiative has found Indigenous people, refugees and asylum seekers in Australia suffer some of the highest levels of rights abuses in the world. Researchers also highlighted the importance of human rights during the coronavirus crisis. Without access to housing, people cannot wash their hands and may temporarily stay in other people’s homes, potentially spreading the virus.
