Bangladesh: ‘Covid-19 Aid Limits Imperil Rohingya’

The Bangladesh Government’s new COVID-19 restrictions (from the 8th April) on access to aid and the internet for Rohingya, cutting humanitarian workers in refugee camps by 80%, , has put refugees at severe risk. This has affected aid workers capacity to provide services which are critical, leading to greater risk of food, work and aid shortages. The article highlights how the ceasing of protection activities has led to women and children becoming more Covid-19 Aid Limits Imperil Rohingya¬†to domestic abuse, rape and obstacle to safe reproductive health care.
