Food Banks Established in Fiji to Help Locals During COVID-19 and After Cyclone Harold.

Pacific:  A food bank initiative has been set up to help thousands of workers where 1 in 9 have lost their jobs becuase of the Covid-19 Pandemic and through cyclone Harold, funded by Australia, New Zealand and the United States. A Fiju non-government organisations are also trying to shore up support, including FRIEND, the Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprises & Development. FRIEND are offering help to vulnerable families during the coronavirus crisis, providing food and medicine, seeds and cuttings to grow their own food in local communal gardens.
